Impax Group attaches great importance to its environmental performance. As an Investment manager our greatest environmental impacts are affected by the investment decisions we make. We actively allocate capital to companies that are developing and delivering solutions to environmental problems.
In addition to ensuring that we make the most of commercial opportunities within the environmental sector, the Group is committed to maintaining and improving the sustainability of its working practices in three main areas of its operations: energy consumption, travel, and paper and materials use.
The Directors are ultimately responsible for the implementation and further development of the company’s Environmental Policy. We also have a Health, Safety and Environment Officer, who has day-to-day responsibility for co-ordinating the implementation of the Policy. We have adopted a monitoring programme to check compliance, and we include training and discussion of the Environmental Policy in the induction and periodic appraisals of all staff.
