
Impax strengthens its private equity infrastructure team with new Managing Director

Senior appointment to develop pipeline of renewable energy
opportunities
Impax Asset Management (“Impax”), the investment
manager focused on the renewable energy and related environmental
sectors, has announced the appointment of Daniel von Preyss as
Managing Director of Private Equity for the Impax New Energy
Investors LP fund (“NEI”).
Daniel will be responsible for leading transactions, assisting with
exits and trading with buyers of renewable power generation within
NEI.
Daniel has close to 20 years of business and senior transactional
experience with blue chip companies within the energy and utility
sectors. Most recently, Daniel was responsible for Babcock &
Brown’s Northern European infrastructure activities where he
focused on regulated utilities, gas storage and broader power
generation. Prior to this, Daniel was Director of Corporate Finance
for the European Energy and Utilities team at Deutsche Bank with a
strong focus on M&A activity in Europe and a member of
Citigroup’s Utilities team.

The appointment of Mr von Preyss brings the NEI investment team to
a total of seven members, who are supported by Impax’s back
office team.

Daniel, aged 45, holds a masters degree in Business Administration
from the University of Cologne and studied International Business
at Sophia University in Tokyo.
Impax New Energy Investors LP (“NEI”) is a private

direct or indirect investments in Ireland, Spain, Germany, Greece,
the UK, Portugal and elsewhere.

million in August 2006 and benefits from a range of high quality
institutional investors, including leading UK pension funds. Impax
